About Us

Christian Mission EBENEZER was established in 1999 by a family that sponsored missionaries in Ukraine.  Three brothers: Pavel, Anatoliy and Slavic Chubaruk founded the non-profit organization. Pavel was elected as president for the first 15 years. Our goal was to help spread the word of God to the people of our native country. When the organization was founded our main function was to sponsor and to find willing sponsors for missionaries stationed in various areas of Ukraine. As the years progressed we started expanding our functions by holding fundraisers to help open drug and alcohol rehab centers.  Not only did we provide financial assistance to various organizations we also helped people in dire situations. Some examples are large families whose homes were destroyed in fires, widows in need of better living conditions, orphans in need of financial help, etc.

In 2007, we printed our first edition of our newspaper called Vidrodzhennya (literal translation: revival). The newspaper is printed in the Ukrainian language with at least one or two pages in English for the youth. God has blessed the publication of this newspaper and we believe it brings many blessings to our readers.

Last year we had the opportunity to print the first ever English Ukrainian Parallel Bible. There are many Bibles that have two parallel translations side by side, but there was not a Ukrainian English parallel Bible. The Bibles have not only been a blessing to those who purchase them, but we have been blessed with the financial support these Bibles have provided us with. The funds raised from the Bible sales have all gone to various charity efforts as well as the continual sponsorship of missionaries.

As of 2014, Alex Chubaruk was elected as president of our organization to continue the work that has been started: sponsoring missionaries so the Word of God can be preached in all the world, supporting rehab centers for men and women, organize summer camps for the children of Ukraine and to open the doors of communication between our partners in Ukraine and the citizens of Ukraine, volunteer at local homeless shelters or prepare meals for the homeless of Lexington, provide humanitarian aide to those effected by the crisis in Ukraine and any other charity events that are brought to our attention.
